Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care

Hospital Policies

In order to ensure top-quality care and services for all our patients, we kindly ask that you adhere to these guidelines and policies.

Appointment Policy

Please call or email us if you would like to schedule an appointment for your pet. Additionally, you request an appointment at our hospital online. You can contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please leave a message if your phone call is not answered.

If you cannot make it to your appointment, we ask that you please contact us no less than 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time as this allows us to accommodate other clients. Please note that there are late cancellation fees in certain circumstances.

Arrival/Waiting Room Policy

To ensure the safety of our staff, other pets, other owners, and your own pet, please do not bring animals to our hospital unless they are properly contained. Cats and exotic pets must be in a secure carrier. Small dogs can be either in a carrier or on a leash. All other dogs must be on a leash at all times. No matter how well behaved your animal is, it is very important that they are always able to be controlled.

Payment Methods

We require full payment at the time of service. Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care accept all major credit (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover) and debit cards as forms of payment, cash and Apple Pay. We do not accept personal checks.

If you need payment assistance, we may be able to help. We offer CareCredit®, which can help you pay for out-of-pocket expenses for your pet’s veterinary visit.

We also accept Scratchpay, payment plans that help patients afford the veterinary care they need.

Prescription Refills

Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care are pleased to provide our patients with prescription refills through our hospital. For all prescription refills, it is a requirement that your pet has been seen by one of our veterinarians, is up-to-date on vaccinations, and has had recent bloodwork completed. Additionally, we require 48 hours notice.

Prescription Diets

If your pet requires a prescription diet, we can provide it for you through our hospital. Prescription diets should be recommended by a Veterinarian. It is a requirement that your pet has been seen by one of our veterinarians, is up-to-date on vaccinations, and has had recent bloodwork completed. Additionally, we require 48 hours notice.
